„The Law of Life”

I liked the story. It was rather strange for me because it is hard to understand how other civilizations and other cultures think. It’s a very sad story about life and relationship. The old Indian’s place in the text is not easy. He was a tired old man. Nobody misses him, which is said. His son leaves him alone in the forest in winter. He doesn’t want to die, but he must. I found a lot of symbolic pictures in the text. For example: the winter is equal with death and the other thing is he compares his self with an old buck. He tried to remember a hunting where the wolves captured an old buck. Here the old man was that buck. He couldn’t win that fight with the wolves. He tried but he lost.
